Apparently label meddling forced the original recordings down a wholly incompatible, 'clean' #NewWave road. Not that the band wasn't trending that way anyway, but they still retained a caustic #PostPunk vibe from the early days.

Good thing re-issues exist, huh? This restored version is pretty good, definitely carrying on from the last LP. The one that tanked isn't available for streaming tho', so I have no way of comparing.
