THE ROOTS - Rising Down

Um, are you guys okay? I mean, there's always been bite to your social commentary, as all good #Conscious #Rap artists do. This one though, so much more aggro and militant than before. It's cool for sure, but I was never prepared for the funky live #HipHop band to get this dark. Even the requisite big #Funk jam at end gets its marching boots on.

Lots of guest rappers on this one too. Honestly, aside from Black Thought's presence, this feels way removed from #90s Roots.
