Well, I guess they got all the bad vibes out, back to more of a soulful, funky live band session. Not that they've abandoned #Conscious topics, they're just presented in a more mellow, somber fashion compared to the gritty studio arrangements of the last few albums.

And why can't they be in a relatively better headspace in 2010? The Bush Years were over, racism was solved [citation needed], and they're now the house band for Jimmy Fallon. Only good times after!
