JOHN LEGEND & THE ROOTS - Wake Up!

I feel like the band's come full circle with this one. No longer showing their influences of #60s and #70s #Funk and #Soul in their #HipHop, now they're actually playing the stuff! Helps having a capable crooner in Legend on hand carrying the vocal load, though it does kinda' leave Black Thought on the back burner for much of this.

It was fun to hear, but I cannot deny a little disappointment they stuck with covers rather than try creating their own homages.
