Some thoughts...

- how is it that I listened to this entire discography, liked good portions of it, but couldn't hum a single tune of theirs if I tried? Guess clever songcraft doesn't always necessarily translate into earworms

- maybe that's why they never really blew up big beyond Japan? Just never could find that Western hook.

- or maybe their name came off too askew, not making much sense to us anglophones

- I wonder if drummer Yoko Fukuda was ever able to perform the older, complex beats
